English Shepherd Breeders Network

A dog is a huge investment in time and love;
please, make sure you educate yourself and invest wisely.

The puppy pictured above is Bailey. He was sold by his breeder to Petland and from there was sold to a very nice person who loved him very much, but didn't know anything about English Shepherds. By the time Bailey came in to rescue as an 8 month old pup, he was unsocialized, untrained, and unwanted.

This web page is for Bailey.

It is brought to you by the National English Shepherd Rescue (NESR) in the hope that if people educate themselves about English Shepherds and have access to information about the puppies and dogs available they will get the right dog for their family. And if breeders have a way to get the word out about their litters, they will be able to select the very best home for each puppy. NESR hopes that someday soon there won't be a need for a National English Shepherd Rescue.

NESR makes no guarantee about the accuracy of any information provided by individuals here; nor is a listing on these web pages an assurance of quality. We encourage all potential dog owners to educate themselves about dog ownership in general, English Shepherds in particular, and very specifically, about the breeders and litters in which they are interested.

An English Shepherd without a job will create one for himself, so families without the time to train or involve their dog in daily routines should steer away from this breed.
